Living Room & Kitchen

The heart of the house is its open living area – a place to gather, to share meals, and to watch the snow fall outside. In Sámi tales, the hearth was seen as the living center of the home – a place where the spirit of fire, Liekkio, brought warmth and protection. Large windows frame the horizon, while the warmth of wood surrounds every corner.

Bedroom 1 (12.5 m²)

A spacious and quiet retreat at the end of the day. Soft light, wooden walls, and the silence of the forest outside create a space of calm. In northern myth, sleep was guarded by Njordr, god of the calm sea and safe return – a reminder that rest itself is a form of journeying.

Bedroom 2 (12.5 m²)

Shaped by simplicity and comfort, the second bedroom offers a private corner for rest – equally suited for friends or family. Among the Sámi, dreams were seen as paths walked with the help of spirits, a way to hear what silence itself wants to say.

Bathroom 1 (5 m²)

Clear, functional, and fresh – with all essentials for your stay. In old belief, water was more than cleansing – it carried memory, and in its flow the gods themselves left traces.

Bathroom 2 – Jacuzzi Room (5 m²)

A highlight of the house: step into warmth and let time slow down. Surrounded by water and wood, one recalls the Sámi myth of Vellamo, spirit of the lakes – stillness on the surface, depth beneath.

Sauna (Outdoor Barrel Sauna)

Next to the house, in the garden, waits your shared sauna – a place of ritual and renewal. Half of its round wall is glass, opening a view into the snowy forest and towards the mountain of Pallas. As the inscription inside says: “The smoke knows your ancestors.”

Hot Tub (Outdoor, Wood-Fired)

Next to the sauna rests a wooden hot tub – simple, elemental, heated by fire. Fill it with warmth, watch the steam rise into the northern night, and let silence surround you.

  • Fits 4–6 persons

  • Firewood provided on site

  • Water can be turned on directly by guests

  • Free of charge, self-service


Grill Hut (Traditional Kota)

Just a short walk from the house, hidden among the trees, you will find a traditional grill hut. A place where locals have gathered for generations – to share food, to tell stories, to listen to the crackle of fire.

  • Traditional Lappish grill hut (kota), 200 m from the house

  • Freely accessible for all guests

  • Central fireplace with seating

  • Firewood provided


Outdoor Area

The house stands deep within the wilderness. Outside, silence and vastness prevail – in the glow of endless summer light and in the stillness of deepest winter. Here, Ukko, god of sky and thunder, was once believed to watch over the lands – his storms fierce, his calm a blessing.
